Hello,

I just received my VETUS PARS. It is assembled and my first launch of the VetusGUI2-0-0-OSX I get an error.

"VetusGUI" Not Opened

Apple could not verify "VetusGUI" is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.

I think you can fix this by either going to Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Open anyway.

However, I cleaner fix would be for the Apple developer to have have the App notarized by Apple.

I attached screenshot.

Just saying, it would be a cleaner user experience.

Oh that's just on Apple, they do that with unsigned software.. just right click and allow it to open. Or find it in your settings and allow it to run. It's a security thing with Apple.

Yes, I know. It would be cleaner if it was signed and notarized so users don't see that.

But It sounds like you are already aware.

Have you never used unsigned software before? You approved it once and now you never have to do it again.

@nivbot Yes, sir. I'm using your unsigned software right now. 🙂

I'll keep my comments to myself then.

Where do you post bugs in the mac OS GUI?

@nivbot In the Mac GUI on my laptop it is Mac OS 26.7. If you select code on the middle window you cannot read or see the selected code. It turn all yellow. See attached. The selection should be readable.

@mbrando I've never seen that happen. Did you just select it? I'd have to repeat it to see what the issue is probably.

OK I found it. it's because of light mode but I don't know why it's blocking the text. It should just use the mode's default colors. I'll get a fix for it. Thanks for finding it. I don't think about the color mode very often.

OK I have a fix ready.. and I signed it juuuust for you. I'm kidding. I thought it had already been signed and when I looked the signing stuff was set so it should have already been signed but I'm not sure. If it didn't sign it for some weird reason you might have to give it permission again. Mac is main computer so luckily it was a quick fix.

@nivbot Spoke too soon. 😉

I'll still use it. But still think a signed and notarized version would be more polished for new users.

I'm in the middle of building my own NFC application for Mac Desktop. We have to have our application signed the client required it in the scope.
