Could the schematics be made available? I’d view the board as a much better value if I could evaluate its usability beyond the standard logic—for example, extending it to EEPROM or OTP MCU programming by rolling my own firmware.
Not at this time no. I realize it's not the most complex piece of hardware in the world and it can be worked out fairly easily with a little time but I'm not going to make it easier for them. I will absolutely give it out after some time though. As it is right now, I don't have enough made to get them out to everyone. So, after I've had time do things other than make some inventory and it's more of a routine thing for me I will gladly give them out.
I'd love to see someone try new things with it. In fact, that was my original goal, but as time progresses and you start draining money you have to start trimming the dream down to size a bit. Actually, as I sit here there might be something I can do to satisfy us both. Let me do a little research and thinking. Perhaps I can at least do something like give you a pinout of how the stm32 is setup. Let me think about it.
