Hello, I just wanted to give a quick overview of how to add tests scripts to Vetus Pars. First you need to download the Vetus GUI software for your system. Linux will be coming soon. Then on the left hand side is a list box and buttons. You just need to click the add button and you can select all of the files you want. They will then be listed in the box. To test one of them you can select a file and click the load button. This will load the chip info and code into the right hand side.. from there you can save the chip as a file or upload it to the tester. Use the Send Code button to send code to the tester. Once the tester has the code the screen will change and you can click the OK button on the tester to run the test. You can also click the Save to Vetus button to save the code to Vetus once it has been uploaded. You can make changes to the tests, rename it and read it to do special things you might want or you can just load a coil file and save it to Vetus just how it is.
You can also add files with the batch button. This allows you to add more than 1 file at a time. If you select batch then Vetus GUI will upload and save all of the chip files that are currently in the listbox. It is recommended that you do no more than 10 files at a time. 5 would be best.
Please add new chips with caution. Run the tests without saving first (ie. upload them and run the tests but do not click the save to vetus button) to be sure you want the test. Right now there is no way to delete only 1 test so until that functionality is added, which is coming, you will fill your tester up with unwanted tests if you just throw them in there without thinking about it.
I’m looking forward to the Linux version. It’s an inconvenience to load Windows in a VM to run just one app. Also I couldn’t get it connected through Windows yet.
