RetroCPLD is a compact command-line logic compiler for classic GAL devices and modern Microchip/Atmel CPLDs. It converts straightforward equation-based .rcpld source files into programmer-ready JEDEC (.jed) files.

Free LIMITED Edition
The free edition requires no purchase and supports:

It includes combinational and registered logic, internal nodes, output-enable controls, supported clock/reset/preset controls, signatures, device validation, and JEDEC generation.
Registered FULL Edition
The FULL edition supports every LIMITED device, plus:

- ATF1504ASV
- GAL16V8B
- GAL22V10B
A FULL license is portable and is not locked to one computer. License verification happens locally, so normal compilation does not require an internet connection.

Download the compiler for your operating system below. The LIMITED edition can be used immediately. To unlock all supported devices, purchase a FULL license from the registration section below.
RetroCPLD generates JEDEC files but does not program the physical device. Use a compatible device programmer for your selected GAL or CPLD.
